Our Shock Service Process
Process
1. Inspection & Evaluation
Every shock is fully inspected before disassembly. We check for shaft damage, seal wear, fluid contamination, body wear, heat damage, and overall performance condition.
2. Complete Disassembly & Cleaning
Shocks are completely torn down and cleaned to remove old oil, contamination, and debris from internal components.
3. Seal & Wear Component Replacement
All standard service rebuilds include replacement wear components and seals using premium-quality parts designed for off-road abuse and long-term reliability.
4. Rebuild & Precision Assembly
Each shock is carefully rebuilt to proper specifications with attention to piston orientation, shaft condition, seal head fitment, torque specs, and nitrogen integrity.
5. Fresh Oil & Nitrogen Charge
Shocks are filled with premium Shock Oil and nitrogen charged to the correct pressure for consistent damping performance and fade resistance.
6. Performance Verification
Every shock is cycled and checked for leaks, smooth operation, and proper function before leaving the shop.
7. Optional Tuning & Setup
Need more than a rebuild? We also offer ride height adjustments, spring setup, crossover tuning, and valving changes for dunes, rocks, desert, trail, or street-driven applications.

When should I service my shocks?
For vehicles primarily driven on the road, shock service is typically recommended every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. However, this interval can vary significantly based on factors such as driving style, terrain, vehicle weight, tire size, and frequency of off-road use. Aggressive driving, rough terrain, towing, and added load can accelerate wear and shorten service intervals. For off-road vehicles such as UTVs and side-by-sides, service is recommended much more frequently. Typically every 1,500 to 2,500 miles depending on usage. Because shock performance gradually declines over time. Often before visible leaks appear. Routine inspection and preventative maintenance are essential to maintaining ride quality, handling, and overall suspension performance.
What are signs my shocks need service?
